Today i decided to post a tutorial about how to draw a monkey face :) hope i made it clear. Ill' be using gimp so..if you dont' have gimp yet go grab it from the official website . First create a new drawing of size 300x300pixels. Then select the circular region selecting tool from the gimp toolbox (The one circled in red). Once you have selected this tool left click in the image window and drag to create a circular selection in the image window (like the one shown in window below). Now that you have created a circular selection, select the filling tool from the tool box and fill the circular selection with black color. This would form the base of our monkey face. The figure below shows how the circular selection would look after filling it with black color. Now without unselecting the circular selection in the window, right click on the circle. Have you ever wondered if there is a commitee that validates a scare crow?? :D well i was drawing a scare crow.. then i some how wanted to put that stamp on that whole drawing.. and "rejected" was the right word for my scare crow :D. Well the stamp is kinda creative idea of using the circular select tool :) The steps for drawing that stamp are simple. Select a circular region in the image and do invert of the selection Select the color you want to paint the circle in. (here its' red) Using the paint tool and fuzzy brush of some big size (7x7) you start drawing irregularly around the circle. Repeat the same thing by drawing another smaller circle inside the first circle. That completes your stamp.. now just use the text tool to write what ever you want.

Believe it or not i started off this drawing with the couch. Then the other things just came in together based on cheddis' lifestyle :) well pretty much... there would be many more things if that were cheddi.. but ive' managed to censor them and put the best out there :)) The pizza boxes are one of the fav part in this drawing.. this was the first time i tried using the persective transform in gimp. Coke bottle.. well i kinda doesnt' match the exact bottle but hey.. it looks quite ok to me ... what do you think?

I wanted to make this one an angry growling character... could not quite get it right, so browsed a little to get the inspiration for such a characters. And that is how i found the wicked smiling kelwin.. and hence todays drawing :)

He is really a big cool guy :) hope you like it, Drwaing the face did not take much time, But the body and the background took a lot of time :( i could not find the apt background for our cool guy :) As usual the zoomed version of the cool dude :) enjoy

I really like dogs, especially puppies.. they are cute and they are so funny to watch. I was inspired to draw this dog after some extensive Cartoon Network time :). It's quite easy to draw this dog.. ill' put it up the steps for drawing each of the characters soon. The zoomed version of the same dog :)

Today is tux day :)) i thought i would share my love for linux with you guys. Actually was trying out how to put a spotlight effect using gimp. Bam.!! it struck me when i was check out the gradiant tool. Actually i put shadow for the text as well, thought its' not quite visible in this pic i have actually tried to test new things. Pattern fill, spotlight and text with shadows. Hope you like it :)

I've decided to create a drawing everyday using gimp and post it on the blog. No more bull**** on the blog just drawings and some comments i want to write :) (well that doesnt' count as bull**** :)). I plan to do this every day without fail...so keep watching. My fav character :)) iv'e seen many monkeys on various cartoon channels and so got inspired to draw my own.. ill' be putting up the steps to draw the monkey along with many other characters that ill' be putting up soon.. :)

Tiger Roars: Baat yahan shuru hoti hain , The first post i read from tigers' blog.. well this guy is really one hell of a gaming Freak... i really envy him. He keep enjoying every moment of life :) playing games (my fav) goes to movies (well not my pie) i love hanging out with friend, just like this guy does. Honestly ive' never played cossacs, but i did not quite like the screen shots :) well that's how i actually get into playing the game.. i see the scren shots.. get inspired to play the game and then play it till i get frustrated with it. :) Well ive' never got frustrated with any game yet.. and im' sure it won't happen any time soon. :) Today i really feel like playing some game esp after watching a quake video.. it's like i have to frag somebody with a rail gun.. :)
