My Work

Have you seen that movie yet? well its surely a kids' movie but then you can really watch it for its' visual effects. We had a talk here at IIIT-Hyd by Mr.Prashanth from Rythm and Hues (india division). It was a wonderful session covering the behind the scenes view of the movie. The techniques used, the hardware used and finally the challenges faced. I realized how hard they worked to create the Lead character (ASLAN the lion) in the movie. They actually recorded the actual lion doing the moves they wanted the character to be able to do and the artists actually put in these animations into the character they made. The artists some how seem to be the most important aspect to most of the entertainment these days. Take games for example they require heavy artist work once the game engine is ready (which now a days are bought right away from Id Software or Epic games. The technology is no doubt very important.. but even with the simplest game engine.. one can achieve good effects...

Isnt' that the word that comes to your mind when you see nicole kidman, sharon stone, ash etc.. well yesterday i was watching this movie called "Stefford wifes". The movie is about a sucessful creative director of a channel who gets fired for starting a couple of shows which they feel might bring down the ratings of the channel. The story is about how she rediscovers her marriage and makes it out of a dreadful situation. I wouldnt' want to spoil the fun of the movie by explaining you all about it.. :)) well its' kinda a unconventional movie with very interesting idea.. which might seem absurd.. but then its quite entertaining.. :) do check it out :)

I was really fasinated by the hippi style of living.. i mean cmon..well no offence how dumb should you be to not bother about anything and just booze and fag all day long. I dont' know much about being a hippi (not even sure if the spelling is correct) but thought id' draw something about it. I know ive' not been posting lately.. but hey ive' got a monster :D yes.. thats' what i call my new pc.. ATI Radeon X1800XT (512MB ram) 2GB ram 280GB HDD (200GB SATA) Lots and Lots of games :) Hoping to get to normal life.. i just hope ill' be sucessful.

I realized today that its' quite difficult to actually draw one image a day :( well any way i thought i should draw something or the other and came up with this plan to draw a teddy bear. It's not very pretty i agree.. but ive' tried my best to give it a furry luck... i failed though.. :( would love to know how to make it furry looking.. you know some technique let me know .

Inspired by the drawings of johney brovo.. this depicts my fav characters in this cartoon network's series. These are supposed to be the guys who do hip hop in this series.. they are not regular characters in the series but they really look cool (atleast to me :)) enjoy.

I hope you guys atleast heard about base ball. Well cricket is the most famous in india and other countries, base ball on the other hand is hot fav of the americans.. The game doesnt' interest me .. but the way the pitcher throws the ball towards the hitter (batsman) is quite astonishing.. :) i dont' know why they call it pitching .. they might as well call it throwing... im' no expert in the game but doesnt' seem like that requires much of a skill.. may be thats' the reason its' so famous. Any way i was just wondering what to put up tonight.. and this was what came to my mind instantly. enjoy

Well it finally happened.. there has an article on the driver heaven asking ati to provide good display drivers for linux. http://www.driverheaven.net/%7Epete/article5.htm have a look at it.. this guy actually put out every anguish i had in my mind. Ofcourse some people claim that the X1800 series are for gaming and nothing else.. well people dont' just play all day.. and they dont'/may not want to buy one system for browsing, one for video editing and one for official business.. well may be some can.. but then.. it doesnt' mean that people who buy a card which is for gaming can't/dont' use it for some other purpose. And whats' the company loosing by providing good drivers for linux? in fact i would say the company is loosing customers by not providing drivers for linux. I personally would not recommend any body to buy ATI cards since they dont' have good linux support. Most of my friends go for Nvidia cards just because they will be able to use both linux a...
